Tibetan Prayer wheels are used to accumulate wisdom and merit (good karma) and to purify negativities (bad karma).
Inside the prayer wheel is a scroll containing the Tibetan Mantra Om Madi Padme Hum, the more that the Mantra is spun the more merit is accumulated.
It is best to turn the wheel with a gentle rhythm and not too fast or frantically. While turning smoothly, one keeps in mind the motivation and spirit of compassion.
Our prayer Wheels are made around the Tibetan Buddhist Monastries of Nepal. Two lines of the Om Madi Padme Hum Mantra are inlaid on the wheel and the mantra is also contained on the Prayer Scroll inside.
Our free standing prayer wheel is quite unusual and is made in very limited quantities. It is constructed from brass and copper and measures 10cm / 4 inches tall. The feet are in the form of ornamental dorje and measure 7 cm in diameter.
